I headed over to Uxbridge Last Wednesday to visit my friend John of John’s Gardens on Concession 7.
John had ordered a truck load of plants that he was taking to the Peterborough Garden show that was being held at the weekend. (April 11-13th).
I had asked him to add some bits and pieces on for me. I had some Centre pieces and containers to make up. It was such a welcome sight to see all the bright and beautiful colours. I can even say, I was excited to see them!
John’s Gardens is usually open by now, but due to all the snow and ice we got this winter, there was still a good (good?) covering over his property. I helped him pricing some bulbs, he helped me fill my car with my purchases…front, back and sides and I went home to start organising my up coming projects.
I was helping John and Jen run the booth at the Peterborough show and I was also making up some centre pieces to sell at the booth.
The show was busy, there was a definite buzz in the air and with all the colour at Johns booth, there was a none stop stream of people. My first visitors were Susan and Joe, who are my cheer leaders!!
This weekend, I managed to make up my containers for our front porch, I also did my Mums and I did 2 for Stanmore Equipment…which proves that forklifts and flowers do mix!!!
Let’s celebrate Spring…for today. As the forecast is 20 degrees today…snow and -1 tomorrow!!!
